What does "fully integrated" EHR really mean?

Talk to most Electronic Medical Record vendors and they will say that their software solution is "fully integrated."  However, in reality very few are.  The majority of significant players in this field has either purchased their technology or partnered with other vendors to attempt to present a full Electronic Health Record, Practice Management and other solutions (ie, PACS, HIS, Inventory, etc...).

In today's world of interoperability and security requirements, having a integrated solution becomes extremely important.  A solution that was developed by the same company from the ground up with their own in-house development team:  A solution that's built on a single database where the module's interface and functionality are seemless with one another are paramount in overcoming compatibility, data integrity and support issues.

VersaSuite has accomplished exactly that.  Over the past 15 years, VersaSuite has developed one of the most sophisticated, yet easy to use, fully integrated solutions in the industry.  VersaSuite's modules of EHR, PM, PACS, HIS, ASC, Inventory Management and Business Management are all built on a single database and have been developed by one development team in Austin, Tx.  There are very few, if any other companies that can present such a vast offering under one roof.

Next time a vendor is presenting their product, challenge them on the "fully integrated" question.  Just because they're big, doesn't mean they've done the development work.  It's more likely they've gone the easy, yet less secure route of acquiring someone else' technology.  If that's the case, then give VersaSuite a call.
